Best Microfiction selects one of ours!

The Disappointed Housewife is delighted to announce that Lynn Mundell’s terrific flash story, “Centaurs in the Laundromat,” has been chosen to appear in the Best Microfiction 2023 Anthology.

This is our second award since our inception, and we’re awfully proud to be able to offer a platform for works like Lynn’s so more readers can get a taste of the unusual-but-totally-fabulous kind of stuff we love.

If you missed it, be sure to take a look at Lynn’s piece, and keep reading more of the outstanding fiction, poetry, and CNF we publish. This year we nominated works for the Pushcart Prize, the Best Small Fictions Anthology, and Best Microfiction, so our writers can be seen on a larger stage.

Many thanks to Best Microfiction series editors, Meg Pokrass (also a Disappointed Housewife contributor) and Gary Fincke, along with guest editor, Deb Olin Unferth, for choosing Lynn’s story.

And thanks, as always, to our readers. We can’t wait to see what comes in over the transom in 2023 to share with you.
