We’ve just wrapped up our eighth year of publication, and now, in the midst of award nomination season, Dottie and I are directing your attention to our DONATE button in the right-hand sidebar. Click on it and you can contribute any amount to help defray our website expenses, which have just come up for renewal.

It’s been another great year here at The Disappointed Housewife. We’re getting more submissions than ever, and my job as editor is getting harder and harder, since the quality of the writing is so good. We’ve also recently learned that we’ve cracked the Top 100 independent literary journals in the 2026 FISH List. We’re also No. 40 on their top Lively Indie Lit Mags list. Pretty, pretty good.

May I also remind everyone that we don’t charge a submission fee here and never will.
